PLAYERS' PAGE

Orchestra members come from throughout the Merrimack Valley region. We include professional and semi-professional musicians as well as talented amateurs who work very hard to achieve the best possible performance.

We welcome inquiries to the personnel director from prospective players. Substitute opportunities sometimes exist even when we have a regular player for a chair.

The Players' Page is designed to give current members up-to-date information and give prospective members an idea of what is involved in playing with us.

Calling all violinists. We currently have openings in our violin section and invite you to join us!

CONCERT REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

MVPO rehearsals are usually Monday evenings, including some holiday Mondays, from 7:30 until 9:45 PM. The week preceding a concert series performance may also include Thursday evening and Saturday morning rehearsals. The schedule information below is subject to change. Please check for additions and revisions as the dates approach.

In the case of cancellation of a rehearsal, phone calls are made to all players not otherwise informed in advance. You may also call the Orchestra number to learn whether or not a rehearsal has been cancelled due to inclement weather: (978) 685-3505. The web site tries to post last minute information on the Home Page, but cannot be as reliable as phone calls to and from you.

Please save the dates for next year's season: Rogers Pops on Sunday, September 16, 2007; Concert Series on Sundays November 4, 2007, December 2, 2007, March 2, 2008, and April 27, 2008.
